Gold can be appropriate for This shows "mouse bites", small holes at the edge of the tabs to help break apart the parts. Also notice the generously sized handling bar and 1st pass non plated tooling hole for automated assembly machines. |

Another technique is scoring A thin grove is cut so that the boards may be easily broken apart. It does leave a somewhat ratty edge, but it's less work than cleaning up the little tab route stubs. |
